dgn FACTORY, previously known as The Dosa Factory, is a contemporary, fast casual, 100% vegetarian, authentic South Indian restaurant focusing primarily on Dosas, Idlis and Vadas. dgn FACTORY is the invention of Niraj Shah, co-owner of a successful, family owned Indian Restaurant. Niraj, came up with this concept while selling freshly made dosas in a food booth at a traditional event inside the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. Diners were able to watch as their dosa was made. Niraj thought, “Why not create a similar atmosphere where diners can see the food as it’s made and learn about the particular dish they order?” The seed for “dgn FACTORY” was sewn in October of 2012. On September 30, 2013, that seed grew in to the beginning of the Revolution.
dgn FACTORY is taking fast food to a whole new level featuring an innovative environment. It’s not just unique in varieties of Dosas they offer. It is also miles apart from every other Indian restaurant in quality, excellence, cleanliness, service and concept. It is a semi-fast food concept mixed with a touch of education about the Dosa you order, coupled with the visual ability to see it being made.
